Where does Open Mic take place?

At Pink Heifer BBQ Saloon, 567 State St., Madison, Wisconsin. All advertised times are Central Time.

How do I request a music spot?

Send your information using the request form on this page or email 567state@pinkheiferbbq.com. Include a Friday or Saturday date, your preferred set length, and your first and second choices for start times. Our team will contact you about availability.

How does Thursday comedy signup work?

Sign up in store at 9:30 PM. The show starts at 10 PM. You can send an inquiry ahead of time, but it does not reserve a place in the lineup.

How long are music sets?

Music sets are 30 to 60 minutes. The usual performance window is 7 PM to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Confirmed times may change for games or other events.

Do performers receive a free BBQ meal?

Yes. Every performer gets a free BBQ meal. Bring your talent and come hungry.

What equipment is provided?

We provide a microphone and built in sound system. Bring your instruments and discuss any additional equipment needs with us in advance.

Can I apply without social media or a demo?

Absolutely. First timers are welcome. Social profiles and performance samples are optional.

Is my request a confirmed booking?

Music requests are confirmed only after our team contacts you to confirm a date and time. Thursday comedy signup takes place in store.

Will my performance be recorded?

We have a 4K camera that can capture performances. Recording, livestreaming, and promotional use are covered by the performer agreement. Recording, publication, and delivery of footage are not guaranteed.

What paperwork is required?

Read the performer waiver below. Every individual performer must complete the agreement and its separate liability release before performing. Performers younger than 18 need advance venue approval and an appropriate parent or guardian agreement.
